Currently in Serbia, Government officials treat Dogs like garbage especially stray Dogs & this kind of scene is just one angle of  Dog treatment in this country.

Activist Report: ZOO @ Winter/2005:

These Polar Bears are living in a 2,5m high and 2,5 m long/wide cage, on the concrete floor with the view on the wall…

Life of bears in Belgrade zsoo is so poor that words cant ever describe it…They are walking from one side to another side of the cage (two steps is needed) and banging their heads against the fence... while their bloody eyes are looking  no-where…  Does this  Animal have some purpose in that cage? Is that the way for children to personally see a "beautiful white Bear"…?…In this cage (little bit bigger than him) with bloody head and red eyes ... totally distressed …

That is something that could never be seen in our Natural environment -so why do we show this kind of story to our kids, and who could ever think that children should see that horrific scene?

Animals in Belgrade Zoo live in bare enclosures and undoubtedly, years of depravity, lack of stimulation and being confined to too small concrete cages have resulted in stereotypical behavior witch is displayed by these severely distressed Animals.

Animals have no stimulation, many have no companionship of their own kind, and all are obviously bored, anxious, and in distress, biting their cages, pacing up and down, encircling, excessively grooming and self mutilating...

This is not surprising, as any living creature would suffer similarly under completely unnatural circumstances.

Instead of attempting to mimic the natural surroundings of each Animal, bare cages, cement, and dirt are all that can be seen. The enclosures in which the Animals are housed are substandard, by any measure of decency...

In sharp contrast to this depressing view are the clean, groomed, and tree-lined walks provided for Zoo patrons. It is a cruel injustice that the Animals on display can only observe the type of scenery of which they should be a part.

How can anyone stroll along on beautifully groomed walkways and look upon such misery and sadness?

Who can enjoy in this horror scene?

Why must these Animals suffer so horribly?

Those Animals are kept like war prisoners - but they did nothing wrong!

This is a basin full of coins. "People" throw up coins on animal to see if it is alive! You can also see a "walls and heat system"... No comment.

PLEASE HELP STOP THIS ABUSE!
