Eurosongfestival inzending Ishtar zingt nog voor de start een valse noot 15 Mei 2008 - Dierenrechtenorganisatie Bite Back heeft vandaag een boze brief gestuurd naar het management van de Belgische muziekgroep Ishtar. De groep die in Belgrado, Servië, aanwezig is voor deelname aan het Eurosongfestival, bezocht afgelopen week één van de ergste dierentuinen uit het voormalige Oostblokland: de Zoo van Belgrado. Ishtar kwam voor een zangcompetitie naar Servië en eindigde in Belgrado’s verschrikkelijkste dierengevangenis.

AUGUST 19. 2007. /Death in ZOO:

Body of young man (B. J.(22), worker of post office)

was found in the morning when zoo worker (animal feeder Kosta Š.) came near bears.

in cage of two Tibetan bears near the bloody naked body(part of stomach, one leg and face were the parts which bears "eaten" )

police found victims clothing separately near the body, along with shoes... and other  personal stuff were lying around, two mobile telephones, money...

Police suspect that young man was drunk and fell over the edge of the "Kalemegdanska terasa" restaurant

(note: BEER FEST IS HAPPENING ON that same fortress where animals are!!!!)

Bojovic (zoo director) commented that he was horrified with that scene and he felt sick.

but he mentioned that people have to understand that animals are attraction- and they should not be touched- but people want to be close to them...

NOTE:

in TV B92- reportage (in morning show "Dizanje") - video reporter clearly showed that all bars on cages are old, rusty and almost to fall off, that cages are dirty ,rusty and small.. But no one commented on that...

**18. Novembrar. 2006.  baby Kangoroo> founded out off mothers bag- zoo vet stuff cant determine who is the mother of this baby- so they have put baby in incubator??
